Houston. We have a problem.
Aussies concert-goers are upset after experiencing a performance gone wrong from multi-Grammy award winning and international pop star Whitney Houston. While on her international Nothin’ But Love tour during her stop in Australia at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Houston appeared “breathless” when she jilted through the lyrics “I was about to lose my breath” on “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.” Towel breaks were a-plenty, long pauses in between songs were obvious and the high notes weren’t there led fans to walk out during the show with much disappointment. Reports also came in that she was “exhausted” and that she “sounded croaky.” An official Australian Associated Press concert review said Houston ”appeared disoriented and failed to properly name some of her backing band as she introduced them to the audience’.’
For Houston’s management team, everything is A-okay. They have rejected the rumors of the 46-year old diva being ill and unfit to deal with the rigours of touring. Yesterday, her folks told brisbanetimes.com.au that the singer would not have been allowed on stage ”if it was going to harm her health”.
The Guardian noted that Houston gave “a car-crash performance” and “should stop performing until she can deliver something worthy of her name,” while Billboard reports that the show was savaged by fans as well as critics, and that some ticket-holders were demanding a refund.
The concert tickets were steeped in their value; starting at $150 dollars for the cheapest seats.
Since the album was released in the U.S. and across the world, Houston began her mission to do concert dates and lots of promotional events in other countries. Some have actually received favorable reviews. But the Brisbane concert was far from a “million dollar bill.”
Houston’s next performance was at the Acer Arena in Sydney on February 24. The reports were better. Much better. “It started explosively,” said the Sydney Morning Herald. “More because of a crisp and classy band than Houston herself, but she gamely aimed at, and hit, more high notes than expected. Her voice is coarser than it once was but she can still belt a tune.”

From my understanding J.Matt your information is incorrect. The fans from Sydney was just upset about the concert, they too wanted there money back. Miss Houston needs to give it up and just move on to another hobby. There is a problem Houston give it up!!!! Before your old fans start selling there old albums on ebay.
