Since its inception, the web site continues to draw loyal readers to its infectious, blunt commentary and criticism and for informing them about new talent on the rise to success.

Founded by J. Matthew Cobb, the grassroots, independent site currently attracts an audience of 11,000 visitors per month and continues to grow in leaps and bounds. PRAYZEHYMN Online.com originally got its inspiration in 2001 when the Yahoo! Group decided to expand its horizon by developing a web site hosting the latest updates in gospel music.

In 2009, PRAYZEHYMNOnline decided to expand its coverage to include mainstream music and pop culture with the development of MainStreet Magazine.
